Rack and Roll Photo

The Rack & Roll Task Force has installed 30 new bike racks in Mankato’s City Center. The Rack & Roll Initiative encourages businesses to improve their bike friendliness by adding attractive and artistic bike racks at their business and throughout the community. Individuals can also personally sponsor a rack.

The cities of Mankato and North Mankato are one of 19 communities throughout the state designated a Bicycle Friendly Community. Bicycling is aligned with the city of Mankato’s sustainability efforts. Offering and encouraging options for efficient transportation, such as biking, walking and the city bus, is important for a sustainable future.

Rack & Roll bike racks will be ordered annually during the month of April and installed in May during Bike Month.
