The Greater Mankato Bike & Walk Advocates plan a week of biking and walking activities in Greater Mankato to celebrate Bike Month in Minnesota. Each night during bike week different biking and walking events are offered for the general public.  There are other biking events celebrated during the whole month of May.

Isle of Mankato Time Trial,  May 12; 26
Test your fitness in a classic 6.2 mile loop at Rapidan. Arrive by 6:30 PM for a 7PM start.

Mountain Bike Event,  May 22
Test your skills with Mankato Area Mountain Bikers (MAMB) at Kiwanis Mountain Bike trail and Skills Park from Noon – 4PM.

Mankato Grand Rounds Ride,  May 29
Enjoy a casual 30-mile bike ride around Mankato and North Mankato. Ride starts at 10AM and leaves from Riverfront Park.

The 2021 edition of the River Valley 100 will be Sunday August 29th. Like past years we plan to have three route options starting from the Mankato area: 100 miles paved, 100km paved, or 100km Gravel. They will post the all details once finalized.

A longtime series favorite race, Bluff Rider’s Charge has access to 7+ miles of wooded singletrack to tailor-make courses for all 3 Pods. Your beloved trails will be prepped and ready to shred, courtesy of the Mount Kato Trail Crew!

MNMBS, Mount Kato, and the Mankato Interscholastic Cycling Team are joining forces to re-energize the iconic Bluff Rider’s Charge. All proceeds from the race will benefit More Families on Bikes, a Mankato-based organization that cultivates the family cycling culture as an independent activity provider.

The Mankato River Ramble embraces the best of both bicycling worlds — off-road paved trails and quiet country roads. Riders can choose a scenic route of 12, 26 or 42  miles. The 12-mile Minneopa Falls Loop will visit the beautiful state park. The 26-mile “Pie Run” takes riders over the river and through the woods to reach the Rapidan Dam Rest Stop where you find an array of award winning pies. Riders seeking a greater challenge will love the 42-mile Lake Crystal Loop that visits the handsome towns of Rapidan, Lake Crystal and Judson.
