Apple Orchard and Pie Shop specializing in locally grown apples. We have a bakery producing more than 5 varieties of fresh pie, apple bars, crisp, cobbler, turnovers, strudel, and apple cider donuts. Pleasant grove pizza farm

Wednesday – Sunday 
 
Pleasant Grove Pizza Farm is located outside of Waseca, Minnesota. We offer 10 main pizzas, 14″-16.” 10″ Gluten Free. You bring everything including snacks, dessert, a garbage bag, alcohol 21+, no pets allowed, located on gravel. Live music on Sundays, 5-7p, weather permitting. Pleasant Grove sits on 55 acres of prairie grassland, surrounded by beautiful oak trees and wildlife. We invite you to bring all of your picnic-style dining necessities to include seating, utensils, beverages, and your choice of dining surface while you take in the alluring views during dinner. We also encourage you to stroll along the nature trails through our natural prairie and oak-filled woods.

Pumpkin Junction began in 2016, where a bumper crop of pumpkins allowed for Blue Sky Farms to share the harvest with area families. Enjoy kids games, fun maze, farm activities, concession stand, farmer’s market, hayrides and more!  Pumpkin Junction is held weekends beginning the end of September through October and is FREE.

The Mankato Farmers Market has been in Mankato for over 40 years. Shopping at and supporting the farmers’ market circulates money within our community, helping to keep it strong. Local farmers and artisans at the market continue to help our community thrive by recirculating your wisely spent dollars. The main outdoor Market is open every Saturday, rain or shine, through the second Saturday in October. Hours are 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Mankato Farmers’ Market is also open Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:30 to 6 p.m. The market is located at 1895 Adams Street in the Best Buy parking lot on Tuesdays & Saturdays, and at 512 N Riverfront Dr in The Hub Food Park on Thursdays.

The Virtual Mankato Marathon

We want to give everyone the opportunity to experience the Mankato Marathon. Run (or walk) the distance you pick wherever you want. We will ship your runner’s swag and medal right to you or you can stop by the Scheels Sport & Health Expo and pick up your packet. The Scheels Sport & Health Expo will be held at the River Hills Mall October 16 from 11am – 7pm and October 17 from 11am – 3pm.

Trick or Treating has come to the campground for our 2nd Annual Camp Er’ Treat! Campsites are encouraged to decorate their sites in a Halloween or fall theme and be open to spooky visitors. In a safe and fun environment, families are encouraged to visit the campground and get an early start on Trick or Treating.

Join Peace Lutheran Church for their 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat event! This is a free event and open to the public! All activities will take place outside this year and will include decorated trunks, pick a pumpkin, fun forest, hayrides, photo op, cake walk, free raffle, and the A-MAZE-ing Trail. Concessions will be available for purchase.

Participate in our pet costume party either online and/or in person and have a chance to win a $50 or $25 gift card to Pet Expo! Here are all the ways you can get entries into our drawing! 1. Post a picture of your pet on the Facebook Page to get 5 entries! 2. If your pet’s costume is book related, you get another 5 entries! 3. Bring your dog to Spring Lake Park on October 27th between 5-6pm dressed in their costume to receive 10 entries! 4. Post a video of your cat doing a trick for a treat to the Facebook event page for 10 entries! Drawing for gift cards will take place October 28th.

We are excited to be celebrating our 10th annual event on Friday, November 13, 2020. Mark your calendars. More information will be coming soon!
Raw Fusion, presented by the MN River Builders Association, is a high-energy, abstract fashion show dedicated to bringing attention to the local building industry while raising funds and awareness for a local cause. Utilizing raw building materials as the inspiration for their outfit ensemble, each is judged for their uniqueness and flair.

5K Turkey trot

November 14

Come join us for a free 5k Turkey Trot around Old Town Mankato on Nov. 14th. Before and after the race we will require face masks in the store and encourage runners to socially distance themselves while running. We will head out from River Valley Running at 605 N. Riverfront Dr. Mankato at 7:30 am and take a 3.1 mile trot on a stroller friendly course. Ending back at the store for some treats and hot coffee to warm up with! We can’t wait to see everyone in November for another great run 🦃
