South Central College, located
in beautiful upper North Mankato, has added a
state-of-the-art conference center for meetings,
conventions and teleconferences. The John A. Votca
Conference Center has the capacity for accommodating
up to 400 guests. Meeting areas and conference
facilities are within easy reach of delicious
catered meals.
Services & Equipment
The center is equipped with the
latest technology in controlled lighting and audio-visual
needs. The center is complete with down-linking
capabilities, teleconference screens, projection
booth, AV equipment, PA systems and a wide selection
of conference equipment.
Interactive Television
Interactive Television is available
to business and industry. Please contact SCC for
pricing options.This high-tech, fiber optic, is
connected through COMET connection, and can be
linked to anywhere in the world. Interactive Television
provides great savings of time and travel for
meetings and seminars involving participation
of employees/students from a large geographical
area.
Facilities
The John A. Votca Conference
Center is fully air-conditioned and accessible
to people with disabilities. The three main meeting
rooms are tiered and can be used separately or
opened into a single conference room. Interactive
Television (ITV) can also be viewed in the conference
center facility. Also available is a tiered classroom
(A-166) which is equipped to handle teleconferences.
A variety of computer labs and classrooms are
also available for rent.
GroupSystems
Computerized organizational planning,
through the use of GroupSystems software, can
increase any company's effectiveness and productivity.
Electronic brainstorming provides a means to rapidly
generate a free flow of ideas. Ideas are created,
shared, recorded, organized, evaluated and analyzed
… all within minutes! SCC will customize
electronic agendas and facilitate the planning
experience.
