About Us
The Greater Mankato Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) leads the development of the visitor economy in Greater Mankato by actively promoting Greater Mankato as a premier destination for conventions, tournaments and tourism. These activities bring a steady flow of visitors and business activity to Greater Mankato resulting in a flood of spending that benefits local residents and future visitors. The work of the CVB helps strengthen the hospitality industry which provides jobs, a diverse tax base and amenities for everyone to enjoy.
Seventy-two percent of our funding comes from the lodging tax for the purpose of promoting our destination.
As a Destination Management Organization our strategic framework revolves around our visitors. We incorporate visitor perceptions and feedback into our planning. We strive to build community consensus to gain support on tourism development. We form partnerships to develop products for our visitors. We promote our regional assets to visitors and we strive to make the visitor experience pleasant through visitor information services and concierge service and training.

Provide us with your meeting specifications (fax, email or call us.) and we’ll send them out via email to the appropriate hotels in Greater Mankato and/or venues and return the bid proposals back either directly to you or in a formal bid packet.
Our convention and tournament directors can assist in bid presentations to your Board of Directors, Site Committee or General Membership for multiple hotel events. Let us schedule and accompany you on your site inspection to give you a true feel of Greater Mankato hospitality!

As the community’s Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Organization, Greater Mankato Growth provides community and business development programs that make Greater Mankato a great place to visit and live.
